The Riverport Wooden Boat School needs volunteers for the 2016 season!
We are looking for construction volunteers to help with interior finishing (drywall, painting, furniture and cabinet building and installation, etc.) and education volunteers to help mentor teens in our youth programs and workshops.

DIY Patternmaking - Carve a useful object (like a cleat) with woodcarving instructor Andrew Willner, then visit a local foundry to watch mold-making and casting of an object from the class! Two long weekends, July 22-24 and July 29-31. Register today.
Building the Sassafras Canoe - Build the gorgeous Sassafras 12 cedar lapstrake canoe. This lightweight canoe is designed to be carried by one person over rough terrain and is perfect for paddlers, fishermen, campers, and boat enthusiasts.
